Writer/Director 

Mark Whiting has been an artist his entire life.  At six years old he was designing the sets and painting the backdrops for school plays.  By age ten he had already made his first film.

 A native of the great lake state of Michigan and Art Center College of Design graduate, Mark has been an innovator in the field of animation for more than a decade.  His unique visions have been seen in magazines, books and posters worldwide.  Designing for television and film his credits include 'Bobby's World', 'The Angry Beavers' and 'Space Jam'.   His most recent feature film project was with Warner Bros where he was the production designer of  'The Iron Giant'.    Mark then moved into development at Warner Bros where he authored several film treatments.   After six years at the studio Mark left in 2000 to found Tranquility Pictures and begin writing his directorial debut -  'Apple Jack'.

 

Producer

Daniel Wulkan, a native of Schenectady, NY, graduated from New York Institute Of Technology in Communication Arts in 1993. Upon graduation, Wulkan completed an internship for “A Bronx Tale”, Robert DeNiro’s directorial debut. Upon completion in May of 1994, Wulkan packed his bags and traveled to Hollywood, California. From 1994 to 1996, Daniel Wulkan furthered his expertise by working at Warner Bros. on hit television shows such as “Step By Step”, starring Suzanne Somers and “ER”, starring George Clooney. In addition to live action, Wulkan provided personal assistance to the producers and directors of Warner Bros. first animated feature film, “Quest For Camelot”. Concurrently, Wulkan independently produced his own first award winning short film, “Has Been”, starring Zack Norman and Allen Garfield. This film eventually won the LA Intl. Short Film Festival as well as the Idyllwild Film Festival in 1998. Wulkan then produced 4 spec commercials for director Frederik DuChau; he later produced two feature films-“Warm Blooded Killers,” for Fox Television’s Stephen Langford, and “The Cactus Kid,” starring Randy Travis. Daniel Wulkan’s most recently produced work, “Apple Jack,” was written and directed by Mark Whiting, starred Walton Goggins and Cole and Dylan Sprouse, and was narrated by Randy Travis.               

 

Line Producer

Ran Barker grew up on his families Ranch in West Texas.  He graduated from Tarleton State University/Texas A&M and moved to Los Angeles in 1989 to pursue an acting career and studying film at UCLA and AFI.  Appearing in over 100 national commercials, feature films and TV series before joining Warner Bros. in 1989, he became head of Corporate Services for 6 years before becoming Administrator of TV in 1994, working with ER, FRIENDS, LIVING SINGLE, SUDDENLY SUSAN, & 30 other shows. In 1997, he went to work with JOHN WELLS PRODUCTIONS and worked with productions; ER, TRINITY, WEST WING, ADVERSARIES & THIRD WATCH.  Recently he has worked on the features "GAME DAY",  "FUGLY" and "I'M THE ONE THAT I WANT" &  "NOTORIOUS C.H.O"   He is currently working on the feature "SEA DEVILS" scheduled to shoot in the Spring of 2003
